Fantasy Corner: Start ‘Em and Sit ‘Em in Browns vs Jets
Congratulations on reaching the fantasy league semi-finals if you have Amari Cooper on your team. The Browns and Jets square off on Thursday Night, and numerous players in this game will help propel you to your Fantasy Championship.
The question heading into Thursday Night is whether the Jets club is committed to competing in this one. If they are, the Browns will be in for a struggle. This Jets defense is really strong and capable of wreaking havoc on us. If the Jets are already checked out, as I believe they are, the Browns could go on a run and this thing could snowball.
When Cleveland’s offense is on the field, the Jets will try to take Amari Cooper out of the game early. Cooper has shown success when double and triple teamed, but expect them to try to take away No. 2. When Cooper is removed, Njoku, Moore, Cedrick Tillman, and Marquise Goodwin are given the opportunity to take center stage. I anticipate that their goals for tonight will be higher than usual. When the Browns are on defense, Bryce Hall will be circled. The Browns will have at least four eyes on him wherever he goes. Garrett Wilson may be able to get a few extra catches and possibly a touchdown as a result of this.
Cleveland will have to be on high alert for two significant threats: Hall and Wilson. The Browns’ defensive line will have a tremendous advantage all night against the Jets’ inexperienced offensive line, so it might be a long night for them on offense. Dustin Hopkins has been ruled out for this one, so remove him from your lineup. Greg Zeurlein is labeled as iffy, although kicking in Cleveland Browns Stadium is difficult. Remove him from your lineup if possible. In the NFL and Fantasy Football Semifinals, the Browns and Jets kick off Week 17. You’ll be OK if you stick to my guide.
