Podcast: Lions Will Learn Contender Status Against Cowboys
The Detroit Lions have an opportunity to march into AT&T Stadium in front of the entire NFL world and establish they are a legitimate playoff contender.
Despite losing back-to-back games, the Dallas Cowboys remain one of the best teams in the NFC.
In essence, the true playoff drive for Detroit begins on Saturday evening.
A victory would silence many naysayers who still believe the squad will not be a strong postseason threat.
If the team loses, critics will worry if Dan Campbell’s team will be eliminated early in the postseason.
Detroit’s third-year head coach had played for the Cowboys from 2003 to 2005.
“Those three years I was there, it was a great experience, around a lot of good people and there again, just when you grow up there and you’re a Cowboys fan, it means a lot,” Campbell said. “I think it’s a good feeling when people acknowledge the things you’re doing, or the way you’re doing them, or the way you go about your business, and they acknowledge it.”
“You think, ‘Alright.’ You have the impression that you are going about things correctly. So it’s flattering, but I also know they want to beat us up. We’d like to do the same. So that’s a League member.”
This edition of the All Lions “Bang The Table” podcast addresses the importance of the Lions beating the Cowboys and why there are still so many naysayers.
