Leeds United are reportedly interested in recruiting an attacker who Joe Rodon despised playing against.

Although a striker is perhaps the last position Leeds United needed to reinforce in the January transfer season, Kieffer Moore has been linked with a move to Elland Road – and Joe Rodon is a fan.

Moore, who stands at a towering 6ft 5in, makes it clear what he adds to a club. His talent in the air, as well as his ability to control two center defenders, make him a very effective no.9 at this level.

Indeed, he has appeared 155 times in the Championship, scoring 61 goals. He has 47 points and 14 assists. However, having Moore up top brings out the best in his attacking colleagues behind him.

Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey, Dan James, and other Welsh attacking players who have played with Moore will attest to this. Leeds are reportedly interested in signing the £40,000-a-week standout.

Rodon was full of praise for target man Moore in 2021, according to Wales Online. He admitted that playing against the Bournemouth star is difficult because of his physicality, but also because he has the ball at his feet.

“He’s a great lad, and we have a lot of great lads.” He’s a nuisance, as you’ve seen out there; he brings that physical presence. It’s great to have you on the team. To be honest, I don’t like [marking him in training].

“He’s a big lad with a physical presence, but people are surprised by what he brings with his feet.” “On Moore, we’re just thrilled to have him here as an impact player for the team,” Rodon said.

With each new window, the Welsh connection grows stronger. Rodon and Ethan Ampadu joined James in the summer. In the previous window, Neco Williams was a target. David Brooks was involved in a loan addition.

A Welsh Mafia is forming at Elland Road, similar to what happened at Tottenham when Rodon was joined by Gareth Bale and Ben Davies. Moore can sing well, but Leeds do not require a striker.
