After the Texans win the playoffs, the Arizona Cardinals’ draft position falls.

The Indianapolis Colts were not the only ones to suffer as a result of Saturday’s game, as the Arizona Cardinals’ draft position fell dramatically as a result.

Draft Picks Continue To Fall
The Cardinals own two first-round picks in 2024, one of which is owned by the Houston Texans.

Arizona obtained Houston’s first-round pick in exchange for the No. 3 overall pick in the 2023 Draft, which was edge rusher Will Anderson Jr.

This may be considered a win for both teams, with Arizona gaining much-needed draft money and Houston gaining a franchise defensive anchor.

Following Houston’s victory, Arizona’s draft pick is now ranked 22nd overall. This figure may change slightly depending on the Texans’ postseason success.

Cardinals Fans Are Upset
Prior to the start of the season, Arizona was expected to have the first two picks in the 2024 Draft. However, that did not happen, and they will now have at most two top-19 picks in April.

Some supporters believe the Cardinals should intentionally tank after their draft pick fell to fourth overall following a Week 17 victory over Philadelphia.

On all sides, there is room for debate. Regardless, one thing is certain: the Cardinals were defeated by the Houston Texans on Saturday.
