5 Cleveland Browns who won’t be missed in 2024

Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns were riding a surge of excitement and optimism entering their Wild Card playoff game against the Houston Texans, only to be let down in the worst way possible. Not only did the Browns lose to the Texans in the Wild Card round, but they were embarrassed.

Overall, the Browns had a great season, but finishing like way after being made to believe that Joe Flacco’s resurgence was real? It’s more than heartbreaking. It really produces some bitterness in the soul.

Who will the Cleveland Browns — and their fans — not miss when the season is over?

Sorry, Joe; our league is very much a “what have you done for me lately?” type of league.

The brutal reality of the NFL: Joe Flacco was a hero for five games as the Browns’ quarterback, and now he’s the primary reason they were eliminated from the playoffs. Flacco performed well with house money in the final month of the season, but after earning the faith of Cleveland Browns fans everywhere, he betrayed that trust in the playoffs and reverted to his interception-throwing style.

Flacco’s back-to-back pick-sixes in the loss to the Texans transformed everyone from hopeful believers to tomato-throwing detractors.

What’s worse? Browns supporters had to sit and watch Baker Mayfield lead the Bucs to a Wild Card victory over the reigning NFC Champion Philadelphia Eagles. You don’t realize what you have until it’s gone…
