‘Dream come true’ – Leeds United star Archie Gray reveals emotions after agreeing Elland Road stay

 

Leeds United teenager ALeeds United ace Archie Gray sends message to Arsenal ace Nwanerirchie Gray has signed a new long-term deal at Elland Road.

The 17-year-old has committed his future to his boyhood club by signing a new deal that will last until the summer 2028.

Gray has called his new contract as a ‘dream come true’, as he now has the joint-longest contract at Elland Road with club-record signing Georginio Rutter.

“It feels amazing, it’s another dream come true,” Gray told Leeds’

“Supporting Leeds and following the club my entire life is just a dream come true, as I have stated.

“It means a lot to me and my family, the club trust me and trust my family and hopefully I can repay it.”

Gray has made 28 appearances this season, playing right-back and center midfield, since making his professional debut in August.

“I’ve been supporting Leeds and watching the team my whole life, so it’s just The teenager admits he did not expect to play this much, but has clearly earned the trust of manager Daniel Farke this season.

“I was hoping to play a little this season, but I didn’t expect to be playing as much as I have; it just shows how much trust everyone has in me, which means a lot to me.”

“I think my game has developed a lot, the experience is invaluable in the Championship, it’s a physical league which has everything.”As I already stated, my fantasy came true.

“It means a lot to me and my family, the club trust me and trust my family and hopefully I can repay it.”

Gray’s previous contract was set to expire in the summer of 2025, so signing the versatile midfielder to a new term is a huge triumph and essential business for the club and its fans, especially given the youngster’s deep familial ties.
