Leeds are ‘working on’ signing three Premier League players including Tottenham defender

Daniel Farke is searching for a few reinforcements before the transfer market ends in 10 days, and a new defender is at the top of his list.

Farke must now find a replacement for Djed Spence in his team after returning him to Tottenham.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the Whites are now in talks about three potential additions.

Jacobs gave GiveMeSport an update on Leeds’ current quest for a new defender.

“I believe Leeds are keeping an eye on Ben Davies because if Tottenham make any changes to their team, he may become available.

“The beauty of Davies is that he can play both left and centre back. Given the necessity to strengthen and the short time remaining in the window, Daniel Farke prefers versatile players. He believes Davies – or comparable – might be considered a two-for-one signing. Versatile players will be given precedence. Leeds are now working on the names Davies, Ben Johnson, and Connor Roberts. “It would not surprise me if they are active and have some fun over the next two weeks,” Jacobs remarked.

Leeds United understand that in order to compete for promotion, they must bring in players who will improve the first XI.

Money does not appear to be a problem in loan transactions, based on the names provided above.

Davies, the Tottenham star, is the most sought after due to his experience and talent.

However, with Ange Postecoglou’s side suffering from a number of injuries, Spurs are unlikely to let the Welsh international leave.
