Southampton Make Move For Player Also Interesting Leeds United

Benson was a vital player in Burnley’s successful Championship promotion campaign last season, but he has seen limited game time in the Premier League. The winger is expected to go before the transfer market shuts this month, and he does have suitors.

Southampton has approached Burnley about signing Benson. Saints manager Russell Martin believes Benson meets the criteria as he looks for a winger to help his club’s campaign for automatic promotion.
They could face competition from promotion rivals Leeds, who are also interested in Benson. Daniel Farke admires the Burnley player and wants to take him to Elland Road.

Benson, 26, has made just four appearances in the Premier League for Burnley so far this season.
