Club still ‘active’ in efforts to sign Leeds United man in next few days – Tricky situation so close to end of window

For the past few weeks, various reports from Italy, France, and Spain have mentioned Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in Leeds United’s Diego Llorente, who is presently on loan at AS Roma.

Last Friday, Foot Mercato reported that the Ligue 1 club is ‘well and truly’ seeking to sign the 30-year-old. Two days ago, Corriere dello Sport stated that new Roma boss Daniele De Rossi may be willing to let the defender go this month.

L’Equipe include the Leeds owned player in a story that focuses on PSG’s objectives for the rest of the winter market.

Luis Enrique’s team is in talks with Bayern Munich about loaning out Nordi Mukiele. In addition, Cher Ndour is expected to join SC Braga on loan, while Renato Sanches, who is presently on loan at AS Roma, will join Beşiktaş on a temporary basis.

In terms of signings, the French club is reportedly still ‘active’ in their pursuit of the Spain international and Fiorentina’s Lucas Martinez Quarta.

This may be a difficult situation for PSG, as Roma must first agree to shorten Llorente’s stay and then agree to a new contract with Leeds, all within the next few days.
