Leeds United vs Plymouth Argyle: Early team news, goal and score updates in FA Cup Fourth Round

Farke has vowed that Leeds will prepare for this game as if it were any other, despite the cup serving as a distraction – at least in the minds of fans – from the Whites’ rise up the Championship table.

In recent weeks, United has cut the distance on the top two to just two points, and a midweek victory against Norwich City at Elland Road has Leeds breathing down the necks of Ipswich Town and Southampton.

This weekend, however, Leeds will take a break from league action to compete in the Fourth Round of the FA Cup, hosting a team they have previously beaten at home this season. Ian Foster’s Plymouth visit at LS11 this afternoon, seeking to cause an upset and advance to the Fifth Round.

Farke is expected to make changes to his Leeds XI, and he will be compelled to make at least two after Dan James and Archie Gray were injured during Wednesday’s 1-0 victory over the Canaries. While neither issue is believed to be serious, the Leeds manager will not take any chances with two of his most important players this season in a competition that United are unlikely to win.
