Browns Reportedly Met With 2 Players During Senior Bowl

The Cleveland Browns, like every other NFL team, had personnel on-site to evaluate the players.

While there were plenty of talented players on display, two in particular stuck out to the Browns. The first was quarterback John Rhys Plumlee (via Crissy Froyd on Twitter).

Plumlee has had a long, illustrious, and fascinating college career.

He began his career at Ole Miss before transferring to the University of Central Florida for his last two years of eligibility.

Plumlee is one of the more athletic quarterbacks in this year’s draft, having also played wide receiver for the UCF Knights.

Plumlee was a bright quarterback/wide receiver prospect as well as a starter outfielder for the Knights, ranking him alongside Patrick Mahomes anRusd sell Wilson as two-sport talents.

The second guy the Browns were particularly interested in at the Senior Bowl was Houston Cougars edge rusher Nelson Ceasar.

During his time with the Cougars, he was a prominent edge rusher, finishing an amazing senior season with 9.5 sacks and 43 tackles.

Pass rushers and hybrid athletes are currently the trendiest commodities in the NFL.

While Ceasar’s role would be fairly obvious, Plumlee would most likely be a Taysom Hill-style player who could pass, catch, or run the ball at any time during the game.
