Lions Sign WR Tre’Quan Smith to Reserve/Futures Contract.

The Detroit Lions have signed wide receiver Tre’Quan Smith to a reserve/futures contract after he visited the organization on Wednesday.

Because he was not on the active roster when the season concluded, he can sign a reserve/futures contract.Smith is familiar with the Detroit Lions organization, having spent the first five full seasons of his career with the New Orleans Saints. Smith was drafted in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft, and he and Lions head coach Dan Campbell worked together in New Orleans for three seasons as tight ends coach.

Top wideout. Amon-Ra St. Brown had an All-Pro season, gaining over 1,500 yards for the first time in his career. Jameson Williams is a breakout possibility for the 2024 season following a great season finale.

Smith will most likely give competition for the room, with a chance to make the roster out of training camp. He stands 6-foot-1 and ran a 4.49 40-yard sprint at the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine.

On Tuesday, the Lions signed offensive lineman Netane Muti to a reserve/future contract.
