Mikel Arteta says West Ham someone ‘incredible’ at the club right now, ahead of Arsenal clash
A lot has been made of the Gunners’ win and especially, how they went about celebrating it.
However, Arsenal and Arteta are back to work, and the Spanish coach is aware that his club will have a tough test against David Moyes’ seasoned Hammers side.
Speaking before of the game, Arteta revealed that he admires Moyes and thinks what he has done with West Ham is absolutely remarkable.
“He’s a highly seasoned manager who excels at getting the most out of his team. He does it in a variety of ways. He’s an extraordinarily good group manager; he’s a highly competitive manager who realizes when you have an advantage in the game and waits for the right opportunity to punish you. “His trajectory and what he’s accomplished at West Ham is incredible,” Arteta stated.
Of course, Arteta and Moyes are at opposite ends of the management spectrum, but Arteta is clearly respected.
Both were previously at Everton, so they share common ground in that regard, and it’s clear from these statements that Arteta has a lot of respect for the 60-year-old West Ham manager.
Naturally, Moyes and his team will aim to make things difficult for the Gunners. Arteta will be aware of the game plan, and he will be hoping Jarrod Bowen has a quiet day as well.
However, Arsenal should have enough in this one, and Arteta can then drink a glass of wine with Moyes after the game, knowing that three points have been secured.
