3 moves the Detroit Lions must make to reach Super Bowl LIX

The Detroit Lions brought a lot of buzz into the 2023 season. The question was whether they could match such expectations. The answer was emphatically yes, with a 12-5 regular season record, a division title, two playoff victories, and a trip to the NFC Championship Game.
However, the Lions fell short of the Super Bowl, giving away a surprising 24-7 halftime lead to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game.

Dan Campbell’s aggression on fourth down remained unchanged in the biggest game of the season, much to the dismay of the “take the points” camp. However, without that aggressiveness, the Lions would not have gotten to where they are now. If it had worked, Campbell would have been a hero.
The Lions are now looking for the “next step” to reach or possibly win the Super Bowl. Maybe even do it several times in the next years (but don’t be greedy). With a short list of major needs on the squad, though there may be a significant surprise if free agent losses pile, a bullseye may be set on specific positions in need of an upgrade this summer.
