David Moyes insists that his team’s recent poor play is not due to doubts about his future at West Ham.
The Hammers head to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday, hoping to break their winless start to 2024 at the ninth attempt.
The dip has raised additional questions over Moyes’ future, with the Scot’s contract expiring at the end of the season and the club’s board eager to see how the Irons can break their present slump before committing to a new term.

Moyes warned in December that a lack of clarity coming into the second half of the season may be a distraction for his players, but the 60-year-old said that was not the case ahead of the trip to the City Ground.

“I’ve got such a good relationship with the players and get on so well with them and been around with them for a while,” he told reporters. “I haven’t brought them all into the club, but I’ve brought a significant number in. I have a nice relationship with everyone, and there’s nothing wrong with it.
“If I thought there was any way it was affecting them I would soon make sure it was sorted.”
Moyes was enraged by his team’s performance in Sunday’s 6-0 defeat at home to Arsenal, which followed a 3-0 loss at Manchester United the week before.
Fan opposition against Moyes tends to center on complaints about what is viewed as an overly conservative style of play.

However, after seeing his team surrender nine goals in their last two League games, Moyes confessed that their atypical defensive fragility is the most concerning aspect for him.
