The Detroit Lions are coming off one of their best seasons in franchise history, having advanced to the NFC Championship Game. With a powerful offensive and a plethora of youthful talent, the team’s future seems promising. However, the Detroit defense struggled once again this season, finishing in the bottom half of the league overall, which proved to be their kryptonite throughout the season. The organization has been linked to a standout defensive from the Los Angeles Chargers, who might join the new team as early as this offseason.

The Lions are interested in Chargers standout pass rusher Khalil Mack, who is expected to be dealt by Los Angeles this summer. Mack has been one of the top pass rushers in the league, which would help the Lions’ sagging defense if he was signed. With his career nearing the end, Mack may be seeking for a team with a “win now” mentality, and Detroit appears to be a natural fit.
