West Ham United: Chris Sutton fumes in ‘shameful’ David Moyes rant after what fans did.
The fans were photographed with the sign in the away end, and Sutton has called their actions “ridiculous” and “shameful” in defense of the under-pressure manager.
He also claimed that, even if the club wins against Brentford on February 26th, David Moyes will most likely leave when his contract expires at the conclusion of this season.
Speaking on It’s All Kicking Off [22 February], Sutton said, “I don’t think it counts any longer [a win vs Brentford]. I’ve made my feelings regarding David Moyes very obvious.
“I don’t think he deserves the atmosphere at West Ham right now, or the hostility directed at him.
“I saw there was a ‘Moyes Out’ banner over the weekend. I believe it’s stupid and shameful. He does not deserve anything for the work he has done. I don’t believe a win will have a significant impact.”I suspect, at the end of the season, David Moyes and the club will shake hands and they’ll agree to go their separate ways.”
Moyes’ future is still undecided at the London Stadium, but in the face of constant pressure first from the fans and now the board, it looks unlikely that his long-term future will be at the London Stadium.
complaints with the manager’s style of play were what caused many fans to turn against him prior to this run of form, but many pundits questioned those complaints given the club’s excellent league position.
According to reports, certain players in the London Stadium dressing room are dissatisfied with Moyes’ tactical style, putting more pressure on his position.
Sutton’s unwavering support for the manager, as well as his inability to consider other recommendations from fans regarding their reasons for frustration, are unlikely to change regardless of what happens.
