Hammers defender rejects new deal

The utility player is out of contract at the end of the season and is hoping for first-team wages, but the club’s first offer has been rejected by him and his agents.

And, with the club in need of British-born players to fill out the squad, the Boars will approach him again, confident that he will agree the second time.

It was expected that the academy-raised defender/wing back would agree, but with Everton allegedly interested, the 24-year-old has options.

And a club insider confirmed this evening that another agreement would be presented to him over the next two or three weeks.
Ben’s form dipped earlier this season, but he has looked much better in recent days, and the club is keen to keep him at the London Stadium.
