“He’s Lucky He Had The Bubble On” Connor Bedard’s Hit On Patrick Kane Sparks Post-Game Banter Amidst Red-Wings’ Win Over Blackhawks.
The Detroit Red Wings recently defeated the Chicago Blackhawks by a score of 2-3. However, the game saw Blackhawks star Connor Bedard escalate a hit on Red Wings Patrick Kane.
Kane played for the Blackhawks from 2007 to 2023, and he faced his previous squad and Bedard at the United Centre. In the third quarter, Kane was hit by Bedard, who pinned him to the glass.
Kane responded lightheartedly in a post-game interview, “He’s OK. He is an excellent player with a lot of creativity. Go a bit physical with me in the other corner. So he’s glad he has the bubble on; else, I’d be after him.”
Bedard’s style of play has been extremely outstanding, despite the fact that he is not a power batter. However, he has been involved in a number of altercations, the most of which have been other players getting into a fight with Bedard.
However, Kane is smaller than the big players and was susceptible to Bedard’s pressure during the clash. Before the game, the gifted player had warm words for Bedard.
He told NBC Sports Chicago, “He’s been amazing.” He’s been excellent. We talk about the supporters and the city, and how it’s such a terrific sports town; he’s in an excellent location for it. I believe the fans deserve another long season with a great hockey player and hopefully fantastic teams around him. But I believe it’s a wonderful way to kick off the reconstruction, and starting with a player like him surely helps.”
He went on to say, “He’s been remarkable, as you can see by covering him every night. He’s worth the price of admission. He accomplishes unique things. “He will be a great player for a long time.”
