Blackhawks Fans Give Patrick Kane Loud Ovation After He Scores Game-Winner in Chicago Return.

Chicago Blackhawks fans did not see their team win on Sunday afternoon. But they saw the next best thing. Patrick Kane, a Detroit Red Wings forward who won three Stanley Cups in 16 seasons in Chicago, returned to the United Centre for the first time since being transferred last February. After the Red Wings and Blackhawks tied 2-2 after three periods, Kane skated the ice in overtime and found himself alone with the puck in mid-ice. He went confidently across the blue line, deked out Red Wings goalie Petr Mrazek, and lit the lamp for the game-winning goal. A homecoming worthy of a Hollywood script. However, Blackhawks supporters enthusiastically supported it. They rose to their feet and gave Kane a standing ovation, honouring him for the OT win and the nearly two decades of glory he brought to Chicago.
