Onana was asked to select between his Everton teammate and West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen, and despite Bowen’s recent fantastic form, the Belgian chose Harrison.
Harrison, according to Onana, is a player he enjoys playing with since he is both skilled and speedy.
“I’ll go with Jack, a skilled and swift player. I enjoy playing with him; he’s someone I get along well with, so I’ll stick with Jack all day,” Onana added.
As much as we like Harrison as a player, we disagree with Onana’s decision here.
Jarrod Bowen has been on fire this season, proving that he is one of the top wingers in the Premier League, far outperforming players like Jack Harrison.
Harrison is a fantastic player, don’t get us wrong, but Bowen has shown this season that he belongs among the Premier League’s top.
Onana’s personal bias undoubtedly played a role here. After all, Harrison is his teammate, and they seem to get along well on and off the pitch, but if he played with Bowen, he could have a different answer to this issue.
