‘We knew’ – Fulham goalscorer reveals how Marco Silva’s team capitalised on Brighton frailty.

Harry Wilson admitted Fulham ‘could have scored more’ against Brighton after a comfortable Premier League victory.

Wilson opened the scoring at Craven Cottage with a stunning strike, and Rodrigo Muniz made it two just before halftime. The hosts squandered numerous opportunities to win the game before Adama Traore secured the three points in injury time.

Wilson told Premier League Productions: “We knew going into the game that Brighton would have long stretches with the possession.

“Although they had a lot of the ball, we had the better chances and probably could have scored more.”The Welsh international applauded Muniz, who scored his fifth goal in as many appearances.

“The last few weeks has been amazing,” Wilson remarked. “The goals have come, and he deserves them.

“He always makes it difficult for defenders by battling for the ball. The way he set up my aim demonstrates this.

“We carried the confidence from last week’s result into this game. Going to Old Trafford without Willian and Joao [Palhinha] and winning was fantastic. When we’re at our best, we can compete with anyone in the league.”
