The actual reason Fornals quit West Ham
There have been different theories as to why the former Villarreal player departed the Hammers.

Some stories suggested a rift with David Moyes. Others reported that the midfielder wished to return to Spain with his young family.

However, the 28-year-old has now revealed why he left.

Former West Ham player Fornals claims that two current players drove him to leave the club.

The Cockney Carzola has spoken to Real Betis’ official website about the true reason he left West Ham.

Mature Fornals acknowledges signing Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus at £90 million to help West Ham grow in the 18 months before his departure.

While Fornals did not specify specific names, it is evident who he is referring to, since he says West Ham made it plain they were moving on by spending large sums of money on players to fill his places.

“In the end, you can never leave angry or sad from a place that has given you everything, and you have also given or left everything on your part,” Fornals remarked, according to Diario de Sevilla.

“But anyway, there came a moment when the club expanded a lot and decided to bring in players paying a lot for

“In the end, that makes your position more competitive, and you don’t enjoy all the minutes you would like.”

Fornals also expressed his profound gratitude to West Ham for everything they accomplished for him.

It’s refreshing to see a player take such a mature and studied approach to the end of their career at a club.

Fan fave provides a refreshingly adult perspective on the end of his period
West Ham spent £90 million on Paqueta and Kudus. They can play both off the left and in the centre. And it’s apparent that the pair outperform the Spaniard.

Fornals is aware of this, and his acceptance of it demonstrates his true concern for West Ham’s improvement and growth. Even if it meant he needed to seek pastures.
