According to a reliable source, despite Hull’s aim, the club may be helpless to prevent Greaves from joining the Premier League this summer.

The defender, who is largely considered as one of the greatest in the EFL, has started 90 minutes in all but one of their second-tier games in 2023-24.

Greaves signed a new contract at the KCOM Stadium in 2022, keeping him with the club until June 2026.

Greaves progressed through the Tigers’ academy system and has made 170 appearances for the club since his debut in 2020.
