Everton midfielder Dele Alli may need to move to the Championship or League One to restart his career.
That is according to former Goodison Park scout Bryan King, who considers Alli’s stint at the club a “disaster.”
The verdict comes amid an injury update for the former Tottenham Hotspur player, who has returned to the gym at Finch Farm.
Speaking to Goodison News, King stated, “He’s not an Everton player, and I don’t see his future there.” He needs to get his head around restoring his career, and I don’t see it happening at Everton.
“I think he should move down a league or two; he’s still young enough. He has been a disaster since he first arrived at Everton. He had so much going for him at Tottenham that he’s just gone off the radar. Terrible.”
Alli’s time on Merseyside has been incredibly unsatisfactory, with the midfielder definitely dealing with off-the-field concerns.
He has not been at his best in a long time, and Toffees supporters may have seen the last of the former England ace.
Sean Dyche has handled the situation admirably, but the manager may be unable to turn things around as the season comes to a close.
