Chelsea have eight players missing for FA Cup quarter-final clash with Leicester City.

This weekend, Leicester City will travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea in the FA Cup.

Leicester City will face Chelsea in the capital this weekend, with the chance to advance to the FA Cup semi-finals.

The Foxes, whose Championship campaign has lost impetus in recent weeks, will temporarily shift their focus away from the second division to contend for a spot in the FA Cup last four at Wembley Stadium.

Leicester defeated Chelsea in the final of this competition in 2021, with Youri Tielemans scored the game’s solitary goal to claim the trophy for the first time in the club’s history.

Enzo Maresca is now the man trying to beat Chelsea, who will be without numerous players for Sunday’s match at Stamford Bridge.

Former Leicester left-back Ben Chilwell is now getting a specialised medical examination following a knee injury sustained during his team’s 2-2 draw with Brentford earlier this month. Chilwell is not likely to return to action just yet. The same goes for another former Foxes player, Wesley Fofana. After rupturing his ACL during pre-season training, the Frenchman has not played a single game this season and is unlikely to return until the summer.

Levi Colwill, another defender, will miss Sunday’s game due to a toe injury. The English defender missed Chelsea’s 3-2 victory over Newcastle on Monday and is currently starting a rehabilitation regimen. Benoit Badiashile, a fellow centre-back, is also unlikely to play after suffering a groyne injury. Meanwhile, Reece James has been missing for an extended period of time.

Midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu was expected to be out for eight weeks after injuring his hamstring in a Christmas Eve loss to Wolves, but has yet to return to training and will not play. Romeo Lavia is another guy in this department who has been gone for some time, with his single appearance of the season coming against Crystal Palace in December, and will not face

In attack, Christopher Nkunku is the final player with whom Maresca’s team will not have to contend. The former RB Leipzig star has been in and out of Chelsea’s squad in 2023/24, and he is currently out due to a new injury.
