Some big names were in attendance at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea almost won all three points against Newcastle United.

Todd Boehly, Behdad Eghbali, Hansjorg Wyss, Adam Sandler, Gareth Southgate, and Shaun Wallace from The Chase were all in SW6 to see the Blues’ five-goal thriller against the Magpies. The third encounter between the two teams this season proved to be the most entertaining.

Nicolas Jackson gave Chelsea an early lead with only six minutes on the clock, but Newcastle equalised just before halftime. Alexander Isak took advantage of some sloppy defending from the Blues and sent the ball into the bottom corner with incredible precision.

However, Chelsea regained the lead after a breakthrough by the imperious Cole Palmer, before replacement Mykhailo Mudryk made it 3-1 on 76 minutes. Jacob Murphy fired one into the top corner for the visitors in stoppage time, but it was only a consolation for Eddie Howe and his players.

Following the match, there was a lot to talk about and debate among Chelsea fans. Bobby Vincent was there at Stamford Bridge for football.London, and after some time to think on the happenings, he delivers you his major points.

Palmer was once again the star of the show for Chelsea, scoring his 13th goal of the season and assisting for the 11th time since joining the club. With Southgate and his England assistant Steve Holland in attendance, Palmer’s performance for the Three Lions’ coaching staff ahead of the Euros could not have been better.
