Deshaun Watson Makes Super Bowl Claim About Browns
The Cleveland Browns have been one of the most busy clubs this offseason in terms of coaching and player acquisition.
The Browns’ most recent addition is former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel, who has signed on as a special consultant.
With one of the greatest coaching staffs, offences, and defences in the league, quarterback Deshaun Watson believes the Browns are prepared to compete (via Lockerverse on Twitter).
Watson feels the Browns have all of the elements in place to win a Super Bowl; all they need to do now is go for it.
He did, however, mention that everyone must be healthy and play the entire season together in order to compete, which is a valid point.
This will be Watson’s third season with the Browns, although he has only played 12 games—not enough for a full season.
The Browns will also have standout running back Nick Chubb return from an injury he suffered in Week 2 of last year, which held him out for the most of the season.
As a result, Watson is correct in his assessment that the Browns require more on-field experience before they can compete effectively.
However, he is correct in stating that, on paper, the Browns are a legitimate Super Bowl candidate.
