Orlando Pirates reportedly sign Namibia’s top left-back Hanamub.
AmaZulu and Orlando Pirates have reportedly agreed terms on Riaan Hanamub. The defender recently impressed for Namibia at the Afcon.
Riaan Hanamub, a prominent left-back for AmaZulu and Namibia, has allegedly signed with the Orlando Pirates.
The 29-year-old has been connected to the Buccaneers for more than a year.
Hannamub played well at the Africa Cup of Nations in January, and Pirates may have signed him before the season ended as a result of his efforts.
Phakaaathi claims that AmaZulu and the Orlando Pirates have reached a deal, and Hanamub will be joining the Sea Robbers for the next season.
The report stated, “All I can say is that the deal with Pirates is as good as done.”
Because AmaZulu still has a contract option, pirates have been keeping an eye on him and have come to an arrangement with him. Coach José has started Hotto at left-back this season, as you can see, and they are searching for a player that can play defence as well.
RIAAN HANAMUB MAY SIGN WITH ORLANDO PIRATES NEXT SEASON: “I thought the Pirates would announce it at the end of the season, but it looks like they signed him.” The fact that he and Hotto are teammates on his national team and get along well is fantastic.
The Namibian defender stated last year that he wanted to play for a larger team. The former Chippa United player said that he was content at Usuthu, where he currently plays.
When questioned about the connections to the Orlando Pirates, Hanamub told iDiski Times, “It’s every player’s dream to play for one of the biggest clubs in the country.”
He remarked, “But even if it doesn’t work out, AmaZulu is a well-known brand, and I’m thrilled to be here. I’ll always try my hardest.”
For Usuthu, Riaan Hanamub has appeared in 22 games thus far and scored one goal. This month, he would get two chances to play against the Orlando Pirates.
