West Ham set to open transfer talks for 6ft 3 international mainstay.

The 6′ 3″ international stalwart will be the subject of negotiations with West Ham United “soon” following several reconnaissance trips to the team.

Steidten’s West Ham summer transfer plans are starting to take form.
Under the direction of technical director Tim Steidten, the Irons’ summer preparations are starting to take shape.

Their desire to add a new forward has received a lot of attention; maybe more so now that star winger Jarrod Bowen is hurt.

The England player is out of West Ham’s crucial Europa League quarterfinal first leg against Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen after suffering a hip injury in a clash with Joao Gomes of Wolves over the weekend.

It’s uncertain how East Londoners boss David Moyes would lineup without Bowen, but it’s obvious that the team needs backups in case one of their key forwards gets hurt.

As Steidten tries to add additional attackers, West Ham is rumoured to be an admirer of Crysencio Summerville of Leeds United, among other players.

There’s also a genuine conviction that the Hammers will try to bolster their defence in the meantime. Saudi Arabia is showing interest in both Kurt Zouma and Nayef Aguerd, with the former having struggled with form throughout 2023 and 2024.

Journalist Alan Nixon has stated on his Patreon that “West Ham are prepared to spend big on a centre half for next season and could cash in on Nayef Aguerd.”

“David Moyes’s spies are searching all over the world for the solution and have put a strong and speedy defender on their desired list. Aguerd, a Moroccan international, may be traded to a country where he is more well-liked and where things are less hectic on a physical level.

You may assume that acquiring a replacement for the 31-year-old Alphonse Areola would be West Ham’s lowest priority considering his possible longevity as the team’s starting custodian.
