Norwich City have announced that Adam Idah will return to Carrow Road after an impressive loan period with Celtic, during which he played a key role in securing their third consecutive Scottish Premiership title.

Before his return, Idah will have one final appearance for Celtic in the upcoming Scottish Cup Final next Saturday.

During his time at Celtic Park, the striker made a significant impact by scoring eight goals in 15 Scottish Premiership matches, which included crucial late winners against Motherwell and Hibs in the latter part of the season. Looking back, his goals won Celtic the title.

Despite his successful stint and valuable contributions under Brendan Rodgers, there has been no clear decision on converting Idah’s loan into a permanent move this summer.

There is no option to buy included in the loan, and it’s thought that a fee of over £6 million will be needed to secure him permanently.

Additionally, Norwich confirmed that Sydney van Hooijdonk, son of former Celtic legend Pierre van Hooijdonk, has concluded his loan spell from Bologna. The 24-year-old Dutch striker was previously linked with a move to Celtic in January, following his own loan term’s end.

Norwich City considering move for 51-year-old as they step up search for David Wagner’s replacement

Former AZ boss Pascal Jansen is emerging as a candidate for Norwich City as they look to appoint a new head coach ahead of next season.

The Canaries did reach the play-offs under David Wagner this season, but a 4-0 hammering at Leeds United, days after a goalless draw at Carrow Road, ended their promotion hopes.

The manner of the display at Elland Road was alarming, as the Yellows were second best throughout, and Wagner paid the price with his job, as his exit was announced less than 24 hours after the loss.

Pascal Jensen is Norwich City managerial target

New sporting director Ben Knapper is tasked with appointing the next head coach, and it had been suggested that Arsenal assistant Carlos Cuesta was in the running to land the job.

However, in a fresh development, journalist Charlie Wyett has revealed that Jansen is now emerging as a real option for the Canaries, as the 51-year-old looks to get back into the game.

They claim that Knapper has put names on a shortlist, although a number one choice is yet to be established.

But, the update states that Jansen is keen on returning to management, having lost his job with AZ earlier this year, after overseeing over 150 games for the Dutch side.
