COVENTRY City have completed the signing of promising young winger Raphael Borges Rodrigues.
Rodrigues joins the Sky Blues from Australian side Macarthur FC on a four-year-deal.
The 20-year-old winger scored six goals in 33 games for the Sydney-based side last season.
Coventry boss Mark Robins said: “We are really pleased to welcome Rapha to the club. He is a talented and athletic winger who has just enjoyed an impressive 2023/24 campaign.
“Rapha has some great attributes and a willingness to work and learn, and I’m sure we will enjoy his development during his time with us.”
Rodrigues first joined Melbourne City’s academy in 2017 and his first senior start in the Melbourne Derby in June 2021.
He was also named on the bench in the 2021 A-League Grand Final before scoring his first professional goal in March 2022.
Born in the Netherlands, Brazilian-Australian Rodrigues has represented Australia at youth level having moved there at the age of five.
COVENTRY City striker Haji Wright has received a call-up to the United States of America squad for two upcoming friendly matches.
Wright became Coventry’s club-record signing last summer and enjoyed a prolific debut season at the CBS Arena, scoring 19 goals in 50 appearances in all competitions.
And Wright now hopes to add to his tally of nine international caps with USA to play Colombia on June 8 and Brazil on June 13.
USA have qualified for next month’s Copa America as tournament hosts with Wright hoping to catch the eye of USA boss Gregg Berhalter who will select a 26-man squad for the competition following the two friendly games.
Wright has scored four goals in nine caps for USA.
