If Crystal Palace lose a superstar this summer, the club will be well prepared with choices and now another option has been reported.

The talented pairing who are coming off impressive campaigns are drawing interest from various clubs and it’s expected that the Eagles will face a battle to keep them at Selhurst Park.

Spurs and Chelsea are reported to be the two clubs keen on Eze this summer in a sale which would generate £60m for Palace should it happen. Meanwhile, Olise is attracting various clubs including Manchester United, Newcastle, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Now a potential replacement for both has been linked with a move to Palace.

Crystal Palace could sign Steven Bergwijn

In an ideal world, neither Eze nor Olise would leave, however, this is likely wishful thinking more than anything, as release clauses will make it difficult to fend off interest should it be serious.

But if it does happen, now TBR Football has reported that the Eagles are among the clubs keen on Ajax’s winger and former Spurs ace Steven Bergwijn.

Palace are thought to be in competition with West Ham who are leading the race, and also Brighton and Brentford who both also hold interest in the Dutch international.

Ajax are coming off a forgettable campaign in the Eredivisie, with Bergwijn being one of the only bright sparks and is open to the idea of a return to England and the Premier League is clearly keen on his return also.

Bergwijn is a player that Oliver Glasner would absolutely love, however, Ajax would likely want to recoup most of if not succeed their £26m spend on Bergwijn.

Bergwijn only made 24 appearances for Ajax in the league last season and in that time scored 12 goals and added four assists.

In terms of how he compares to the current wingers in the Palace squad, it’s unlikely he starts over either Eze or Olise, however, he does boast better progressive stats than the former.
