Norwich City make transfer head start with new signing as Hull City owner hits back at fan claim
The chiefs at Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday will already be hard at work as they begin preparations for next season. There is plenty of work to do over the course of the summer, and particularly in the case of the Blades, who must make significant changes to their squad.
Chris Wilder has made it clear that he wants big changes, while across the Steel City, Danny Rohl, is likely to make more subtle adjustments as the Owls look to improve on a bruising season of last. In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest news surrounding the Championship.
Norwich complete signing
The 23-year-old defender said upon penning his deal: “I see Norwich is like a family, and I was looking for something like that. The idea of the club and the feeling went directly to me and I felt that I had to make this choice.”
Hull owner hits back
Hull City owner Acun Ilicali has claimed he does not tell coaches which players to pick after clashing with and ultimately sacking Liam Rosenior. “I want our fans to understand something very clearly,” he said at a Q and A with fans.
“Pandur played in the Dutch league for two seasons, all the games, and was so successful. The Dutch premier league is on the same level as the Championship. We are talking about an under-21 Croatian international who had two very successful seasons in the Dutch league. When we brought him I didn’t say to Liam one time he should play. I never, never said, ‘Liam, play Pandur.’ No. “I imagined he is our first choice but who is the best will play. It’s always the coach’s decision and the coach’s responsibility.”
