£94.2bn claim emerges as Kaveh Solhekol reveals Everton takeover bid
AJ Bell and George Downing have lodged a bid to complete the takeover of Everton, according to Kaveh Solhekol.
The Sky Sports journalist reported on 7 June that the bid is backed by a £94.2billion fortune of the MS Dell family office
Farhad Moshiri will now grant exclusivity to one of the few bidders in the next few days.
John Textor, who has expressed interest in buying the club has confirmed to Goodison News that he is not a front-runner to buy Everton and never was.
Solhekol wrote on Twitter: “UK magnates AJ Bell and George Downing have lodged bid for Everton with Farhad Moshiri. Bid is backed by reported $120bn fortune of MS Dell family office. Bell and Downing lifelong Evertonians. Moshiri reviewing bids and set to grant exclusivity to one of bidders in next few days.”
Everton fans likely to welcome AJ Bell and George Downing with open arms
Toffees fans would welcome having Bell and Downing as potential new owners due to their lifelong Evertonian status and deep-rooted connection to the club.
The duo’s understanding of the club’s culture, history and values would likely resonate with the fanbase.
Furthermore, their bid, backed by the substantial financial resources of the MS Dell family office, could provide the much-needed stability and investment to help the club regain their competitive edge.
Fans would likely appreciate their commitment to the club’s long-term success and their potential to steer Everton towards a brighter future.
Moshiri’s popularity has only been plummeting and it’s fair to say that most if not all fans would want him out as soon as possible.
