NEWS FLASH: The Crystal Palace’s coach was sacked for going above the club budget to buy a top player from Arsenal whose career was already flop.
Palace now face competition to sign £9 million player who has been described as a ‘hero’ by Oliver Glasner
In terms of incomings, Lazio attacking midfielder Daichi Kamada is closing in on his move to the Eagles as well as highly-rated defender Chadi Riad.
Dougie Freedman, who chose to stay at Palace and reject Newcastle United’s advances, and Oliver Glasner are set to play a key role in transfers this summer and it seems another former player of the Austrian is on his radar.
Palace face competition for Kostic
According to a report from Italian outlet TuttoJuve, Juventus ace Filip Kostic is attracting interest from a trio of Premier League clubs.
Everton and West Ham United have joined Palace in the race for the Serbian international and could make a move for the winger this summer.
It has previously emerged that Kostic is likely to depart Turin this summer and would say yes to a move to London with £8.5m the fee tipped to be enough.
A new left-wing back would be an interesting addition at Selhurst Park and the Serbian could either provide competition for Tyrick Mitchell or start ahead of the Englishman.
The report from TuttoJuve states that West Ham and Everton would be prepared to pay the asking price for the 31-year-old, believed to be £8.5 million.
Kostic and Glasner
Glasner had a brilliant relationship with the Serbian who made 45 appearances under the Austrian at Eintracht Frankfurt and the pair won the Europa League title together in 2022.
During the Serie A campaign for Juventus, Kostic made 29 appearances for the Turin side and provided four assists in 2023/24.
