I honestly can’t say” – Norwich City player sits on transfer fence, but agent is at work already

Christos Tzolis spent last season on loan at Fortuna Dusseldorf, with the German club having a buying clause to take him from Norwich City permanently.

The 22-year-old has a contract with Norwich City which lasts until June 2026, and his period on loan at Fortuna went well. He scored 22 goals and added 7 assists in the 2.Bundesliga, as well as finding the net a couple of times in the cup.
Speculation surrounding Norwich City star's future intensifies once more

Fortuna would like to keep him but it’s looking increasingly unlikely. They would certainly struggle to pay the clause to Norwich and to agree a level of wages with Tzolis, and then there’s the possibility that he doesn’t feel the same way they do.

The Dusseldorf edition of Rheinische Post has had a chat with the Norwich City owned player, and they asked outright if he’ll be at Fortuna next season.

He then tried to sit on the transfer fence: “I honestly can’t say yet. I can say what the current situation is: I’m a Fortuna Dusseldorf player. I have a contract there, they signed me. Fortuna is and will remain my first point of contact. I’m still playing with the national team. After that we’ll sit down with the Fortuna bosses and discuss the options.”

However, Rheinische Post say that according to their information, the player and his agent have been talking about a change of scene for months.

Union Berlin and Mainz are interested, yet there’s no indication on what Norwich City make of it all.
