New York Yankees link second-round draft pick Patrick Paul to rookie deal
Dolphins 2024 second-round draft pick — offensive tackle Patrick Paul — signs rookie contract.
Paul was the 55th overall selection in this year’s draft after a 5-year college career at the University of Houston that included redshirt years in 2020 and 2021.
The 6’7” behemoth obviously has natural size to play offensive tackle in the National Football League, although most draft pundits agreed that his technique needs major refining despite allowing just one quarterback sack in 469 opportunities during his final college season.
By all accounts, Paul has begun that process by spending time this offseason learning from Duke Manyweather — a renowned offensive line guru and someone who has worked extensively with current Miami Dolphins left tackle Terron Armstead.

Recently, Paul spoke on some of the advice he has taken from Armstead during his time in Miami thus far:
“One of the things he told me that I can relate to stay alive every day. Win your set. Don’t just try to get it all done in one day. Just stack days and improve 1 percent each day.”
The Dolphins’ lone remaining unsigned player from this year’s rookie class is their first round selection — EDGE rusher Chop Robinson out of Penn State.
