That was months ago, and somehow Sunderland still don’t have  a manager. There’s been countless favourites come and go and every couple of days there’s a new name added to the list.

One of the most recent was Didier Digard.

Young spent the final months of the campaign on loan at Darlington, where he helped the team avoid relegation from the National League North and was also named their Young Player of the Year.

The ‘amazing‘ goalkeeper now looks set to stay at the club, but there is no denying that he needs regular first-team football to develop.
