A Bafana Bafana nternational is believed to have landed on the shortlist of Italian Serie A champions Inter Milan.
Lyle Foster may have just suffered relegation from English Premier League with Burnley, but it might not be all doom!
In what was a rather stop-start season for Foster, was one of the shining lights in the early stages of Burnley’s campaign. He was a regular contributor to the goal scoring column before requesting a break from the game. For this, he cited mental health issues. He was then sidelined for a while by former manager Vincent Kompany. He subsequently pulled himself out of possible selection for Bafana Bafana’s Afcon squad.
In what caused even more of a stir and debate, Foster continued playing for Burnley and scoring. That was probably in a view to keep marketing himself should the side get relegated. Earlier in the month, this publication reported that the former Monaco striker is of interest still in England. It’s thought that four topflight sides made inquires about him.
Now according to Soccer-Laduma, there is more interest in Foster, and it stretches beyond England. They claim Inter also have them on their list.
“Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan are understood to have joined the list of clubs that are interested in signing Bafana Bafana and Burnley striker Lyle Foster. It has since been established that it’s not only in England where Foster has attracted interest. Reliable sources have suggested the newly-crowned Serie A champions have joined the list of clubs looking into the situation, though they are yet to make a formal approach to Burnley”. Wrote the publication.
Foster just returned to the Bafana Bafana set up, coming on as a substitute in the 1-1 draw against Nigeria. When he returns Europe, will it be to Inter Milan?
