Latest Wrexham transfer news on Oh, Adam Idah and Daniel Peretz

The Hoops are yet to make their first summer signing and are also looking to offload some

Oh Hyeon-gyu would appear to be edging closer towards a Celtic transfer exit.

Belgian side Genk were last week locked in talks with the Hoops as they tried to strike a deal for the South Korea striker but there had been no further developments until yesterday. That’s when reports from Belgium suggested they had returned with an improved offer and that could see a deal done.

Celts are set to make a profit of at least £1million after paying £2.5m to Suwon Bluewings in Oh’s homeland 18 months ago. The 23-year-old failed to hold down a regular spot with the prolific Kyogo ahead of him and then Adam Idah came on loan in January to add to the competition.

An exit for the South Korean would potentially pave the way for Brendan Rodgers to get what he wants with the return of Idah permanently. Former Hoops left-back Tosh McKinlay certainly wants that.

He said: “Adam’s absolutely shown he’s of the standard required at Celtic. If you look at the games he started, he did the business. He also came on in the Cup Final to grab the winning goal, so he’s definitely got the credentials to play for Celtic. We lost Giorgos Giakoumakis who gave us a different option up front. But bringing Adam in gave us again that presence up front.”

Meanwhile, one of Celtic’s reported goalkeeping targets, Daniel Peretz won’t be making the move as new Bayern Munich boss Vincent Kompany has decided to keep him around to challenge to be number two behind Manuel Neuer. Celts had been reported to have made enquires over a loan for the Israeli who played just two games last season.
