Ebou Adams and a host of Cardiff City players are expected to get further clarity on their futures this week as the Bluebirds prepare to return for pre-season training.

 

Cardiff are due to return to pre-season training today and Adams is one player whose future remains unclear given Derby’s interest and fans hope a deal can be struck.

“It will also provide more clarity with players, many of whom are returning from loans or perhaps have their future up in the air with regards to sales or loan exits. This week will represent an opportunity for many to have contact time with Bulut and the coaching staff for the first time since the end of last season.

 

“Some players, such as those who have been on international duty, will be afforded extra time away to recuperate.”

Adams scored one goal in 17 appearances for Derby last season and was widely regraded as the last important piece of the jigsaw as the Rams secured promotion.

Derby will build a completely new midfield this summer having cleared the decks with Max Bird joining Bristol City and Korey Smith and Conor Hourihane both being released.
