Kaizer Chiefs edge Mamelodi Sundowns in attacker chase!
It is thought to be advantage Kaizer Chiefs over Mamelodi Sundowns in a race for a top local attacker, according to the latest.
In recent weeks, Chiefs and Sundowns were linked to Bafana Bafana striker Letho Mothiba. The marksman was released by the Strasbourg in France, and was believed to be ready snub both. One of the other player the two clubs are set to be going to-to-toe with is Tshephang Moremi of AmaZulu. Now according to Soccer-Laduma Amakhosi have since taken the lead in the race for his signature
CHIEFS AND SUNDOWNS INTERESTED IN MOREMI
“Kaizer Chiefs have made Moremi one of the priority targets for next season. It seems there are a few more players on the list but apparently they would like to have Moremi first and as soon as they can. They are believed to be talking to AmaZulu FC concerning the move. “Though it’s not a done deal yet but talks look promising right now,” said the source.
“Sundowns were actually the first ones to be linked to Tshepang (Moremi) but for now Kaizer Chiefs look set to overtake them to the deal. The negotiations are apparently going on between the two clubs as Chiefs returned to office on Monday and they made this their priority,” said the source.
AMAKHOSI TAKE THE LEAD
AmaZulu’s PRO, Philani Ndlela insists that he has no knowledge of the club engaging with either Chiefs or Sundowns. He refused to rule out the possibility of the chairman of the club heading up negotiations for Moremi.
