West Ham United transfer news as £21m development emerges on Jayden Oosterwolde

West Ham, Bournemouth, Roma and Napoli are all keen on securing the services of Fenerbahce left-back Jayden Oosterwolde, according to Sabah.

The news outlet reported on 28 June that the Turkish side are looking at a fee north of £21million to part ways with the 23-year-old.

The Dutch defender, who’s also capable of playing at centre-back, made 43 appearances this past season.

Jayden Oosterwolde could be a quality long-term addition for West Ham

Oosterwolde could be a valuable long-term addition to the Hammers squad.

The 23-year-old Fenerbahce left-back is versatile, able to play centrally or on the left side of defence, which would provide much-needed depth and competition.

His performances in the Turkish Super Lig have attracted interest from multiple clubs, showing his quality and potential.

At a valuation of over £21 million, Oosterwolde may seem expensive, but his age and potential upside make him a worthwhile investment.

Aaron Cresswell is 34 years old and has struggled for form and fitness in recent seasons and Oosterwolde may arguably be an upgrade on Emerson too.

Moreover, Oosterwolde’s ability to play as a centre-back adds to his value, providing cover and competition in multiple positions.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers want to secure the transfer of a player who’s set to leave Tottenham Hotspur this month.

Wadham joins a Sutton side recently relegated from the Football League after a three-year stint in League Two, bringing to an end an 11-year association with Cherries.
