Leeds United may have Crysencio Summerville replacement lined up amid intense speculation

It will be no surprise to Leeds United fans that replacements are being drawn up for Crysencio Summerville amid the recent transfer links around the Dutchman.

In addition to looking at players to bring in, thanks to their failure to gain promotion to the Premier League for the 2024/25 season, a plethora of Leeds’ players have been linked with an exit.

Among those is Summerville, whose performances last time out earned him the title of the Championship’s Player of the Season.

The winger has been the subject of many rumours this transfer window and looks set to be exiting Elland Road at some point this summer.

Leeds have even been reported to not put up a fight if the winger chooses to depart in the coming weeks [Ben Jacobs, 24 June].

With this in mind, it isn’t surprising to see that among the many who have been linked with a move to West Yorkshire, now-free agent Callum O’Hare has been touted to be in line to arrive at Elland Road this summer.

O’Hare has been a stellar performer for Coventry City over the last couple of seasons.

In 2023/24, the attacker played a total of 36 times across all competitions and managed to contribute to a total of 14 goals.

Although these numbers aren’t as impressive as that of Summerville’s, the fact that at the start of the season O’Hare was sidelined due to injury makes his statistics seem much better.

Brighton are one of the clubs interested in signing Leeds winger Crysencio Summerville this summer.

In addition, as the Netherlands U21s international is used in quite an advanced role, O’Hare would likely get into many more attacking positions and produce even more goals and assists.

And, the fact that a move for the 26-year-old wouldn’t cost the West Yorkshire club a penny due to his free-agent status, makes a move for the attacker almost too good to be true.

In addition to being a replacement for Summerville, the fact that both Southampton and Burnley are vying for his transfer [TEAMtalk, 13 June], shows how much of a coup he would be.
