The 34-year-old from Matatiele left the Sea Robbers for Belgium’s Oostende in 2014. Jali later returned to the DStv Premiership with a blockbuster deal with Sundowns in 2018, instead of Orlando Pirates. The combative midfielder later signed for Moroka Swallows after falling out with coach Rulani Mokwena in 2023. Despite sitting out six months without a club since leaving Swallows in January, reports say the Chilli Boys are set to announce Jali.

“The fact that Chippa United released 16 players last week tells you that the team is eager to improve. Jali’s arrival could change the mentality in the squad,” the report added.
