For Tottenham, nine players will be departing N17 for a fresh challenge elsewhere. It is a key summer at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Ange Postecoglou looks to make the necessary changes to his playing squad to help them hit the next level.

The Lilywhites were very active in the transfer market 12 months ago and the same needs to happen this time around. As part of the squad changes ahead of the 2024/25 term, Spurs announced at the beginning of June the departures of Eric Dier, Ivan Perisic, Ryan Sessegnon and Japhet Tanganga at their end of their contracts.

Both Dier and Perisic did in fact leave Tottenham in January as they linked up with Bayern Munich and Hajduk Split respectively on initial loan deals. Dier went on to feature prominently under Thomas Tuchel at the Allianz Arena as Bayern went far in the Champions League but unfortunately couldn’t regain their Bundesliga crown.

Whereas the aforementioned duo are all set for the 2024/25 season, it remains to be seen where exactly Sessegnon and Tanganga will be playing their football. Sessegnon endured another injury-hit campaign at Tottenham but Crystal Palace and West Ham have been linked with him so far this summer, with Millwall keen on signing Tanganga permanently after such a successful time on loan at The Den in the second half of last season.

Sunday will also mark the end of Tanguy Ndombele’s time at Tottenham.
