Everton offer prompts club to search for replacement – Deal there to be done
There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Galatasaray are looking at a possible replacement for Davinson Sanchez following interest from Everton.
The Colombia international has been linked with a move to the Premier League side in recent days following reports of an offer.
Sporx have reported on the latest developments regarding the future of Sanchez and they say Galatasaray are monitoring the situation with FC Nordsjælland defender Adamo Nagalo.
According to the Turkish media outlet the Super Lig champions didn’t intend to bring in a central defender this summer, but with serious interest from Everton they’ve had to switch their attention to Nagalo.
It’s claimed if they can get €25m for Sanchez then they will make a move for the 21 year old.
We recently covered reports from Turkey that Everton have offered €18m for Sanchez, which was rejected by Galatasaray. Gala are said to be holding out for €25m and are reportedly waiting for Everton to respond.
Sanchez made 32 appearances for the Super Lig side last season, scoring three goals. He’s contracted to Cimbom until June 2027 after only arriving from Tottenham last summer.
Former Cardiff winger Philogene set to join Everton
Former Cardiff winger Jaden Philogene is set to join Everton after the Premier League club reached an agreement with Hull to sign him for a reported £16m.
Everton had expressed an interest in signing Philogene last month, and the 22-year-old is believed to be keen on a move to Goodison Park.
Ipswich and, according to Hull owner Acun Illicati, La Liga giants Barcelona were also interested in signing the in-demand Englishman, who scored 12 goals in 33 games for the Tigers last season.
Signed by former boss Steve Morison, Philogene spent the 2022-23 campaign at Cardiff on a season-long loan from Aston Villa before joining Hull last summer.
