Orlando Pirates on red alert as marquee target is now a free agent
Young Africans playmaker Stephane Aziz Ki will report to training as his side prepares for a friendly clash with Kaizer Chiefs. The player is a target of Orlando Pirates.
AZIZ KI IS STILL ON THE BOOKS OF YOUNG AFRICANS, FOR NOW
According to a SoccerLadumareport, Young Africans president Hersy Ally Said has spoken about how difficult it would be were they to lose talented attacking midfielder Stephane Aziz Ki. The 28-year-old left-footer has been heavily linked with a switch to Orlando Pirates. Ally Said was speaking at the launch of the Toyota Cup in Joburg. Kaizer Chiefs face Young Africans in that tournament.
“It’s very tough for us, especially losing a player like Aziz Ki. But I am not saying we are going to lose him. There’s a lot of interest coming from several clubs, including some of the clubs in South Africa. But Young Africans have a very strong connection with the player and we’ve done our homework as leaders of the club to make sure the player stays in the club.
“The discussion is going very well, but as of now nothing has been finalised,” he said to the media

CONTRACT LIMBO, ORLANDO PIRATES TO POUNCE?The Yanga president wants to keep hold of his player but insists nothing is settled yet. Aziz Ki hasn’t signed a new contract there’s always the risk he could walk away from the club in that scenario. As things stand, he’s a free agent.
WHERE WILL SALENG BE NEXT SEASON?
Monnapule Saleng made 17 league appearances last term with three goals and two assists. He was recently pictured at the airport with the rest of the Bucs squad as they embarked on their tour to Europe. Media reports this week have been heavily of the opinion that he’ll not be a Buccaneer next term. The arrival of R11 million man Deivi Miguel Vieira, aka Gilberto, places his immediate future at the club in jeopardy.
