BILD claim the Blues have made contact with the Germany international’s representatives and they plan to open talks with Dortmund in the coming days as they look to push through a move. Reports claim die Schwarzgelben will look to recoup a £25million fee for the former Red Bull Salzburg forward.

Dortmund could use the money to fund a move for Manchester United star Jadon Sancho, who enjoyed a loan spell at Signal Iduna Park last season, while they are also moving to sign Lyon winger Rayan Cherki and Stuttgart forward Serhou Guirassy.
Their willingness to listen to offers for Adeyemi, as they publicly refresh their forward options, should alert Liverpool to make their move, given he will prove to be a much cheaper alternative to Anthony Gordon.

Indeed, Liverpool had Adeyemi on trial as a 16-year-old in 2018 but decided his club at the time, SpVgg Unterhaching, were holding out for too big of a transfer fee.

The £2.5m transfer fee RB Salzburg eventually paid for him helped the third tier German side fund a stadium renovation and then Liverpool were linked again with Adeyemi two years ago before he made the move to Dortmund.

Adeyemi plays on the left-wing and, like Gordon, he is known for his dribbling ability and cutting inside on to his right foot, and Liverpool should give serious consideration about making it third time lucky and sealing his signature as part of Arne Slot’s Anfield rebuild.
